Ingredients

Lentil (orannge color) 1 cup
Carrot (peeled and chopped) 1
Onion (chopped) 1 large
Hot water + chicken maggie cube or chicken stock 1 litre
Cumin 1 teaspoon
Tumeric 1/2 teaspoon
Black pepper 1/4 teaspoon
Salt according to taste

lentil soup is the best soup, thick, rich and delicious.
in a cold weather, a filling soup like this is perfect nourishment for warming body and soul.

Directions

  1. Heat oil in saucepan, add the onion, carrot and stir, add the lentil seeds and spices and mix, then add the chicken stock and let simmer for 30 minutes.
  2. Blend soup using immersion blender. ( add more stock or hot water if it need and become too thick).
  3. Serve it with toasted or fried bread and slice of lemon.
